Generative artificial intelligence (AI) describes algorithms that can be used to produce new content, including audio, code, images, text, simulations, and videos. It is developing all the time and is now being used as a support mechanism for all kinds of content-based creations. Please note the use of AI is monitored and if applicants have used it then they are required to declare this.
1. The post holder will be a highly specialised Hepatology Nurse expected to ensure patients living with chronic liver disease are cared for in the most appropriate setting utilising their clinical expertise, leadership, management and education skills to support patients adhere to hepatoma surveillance programmes.
2. The post holder will work closely with the existing Hepatology Specialist Nurse and the wider multidisciplinary (MDT) team which includes other sub-specialities within the liver service, radiology, oncology and regional hepatology departments to provide holistic and seamless care.
3. To provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients, families and carers from the time of referral and throughout treatment and follow-up phases of treatment and care.
4. To lead the development, improvement, management and promotion of the service ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care.
5. To lead on the implementation and monitoring of adherence to relevant clinical guidelines.
6. The Post holder will participate in nurse-led stable cirrhosis clinics in accordance with the developing needs of the service.
