Responsibilities include:
* Technical Support: Acting as the go-to expert for technical queries via phone, email, remote login, and CRM. Troubleshooting hardware, controls, and systems, especially in smoke ventilation, BMS, or fire safety installations. Providing guidance to installers and end-users. Supporting field engineers with backup and verification.
* Continuous Improvement: Identifying recurring issues for engineering review, contributing to product development, building knowledge bases, and maintaining detailed records.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in technical support, helpdesk, or remote engineering roles.
* Strong IT, systems, and fault-finding skills (hardware/software).
* Excellent communication skills, calmness under pressure, clarity when stressed.
* Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote access tools, and CRMs.
* Electrical competence, including reading wiring schematics and system layouts.
Preferred qualifications include:
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* Experience with smoke control, HVAC, fire safety systems, or BMS.
* Knowledge of PAT, RAMS, and compliance standards.
