I am working with a M&E Contractor who predominately works across the North West for NHS, Hospitality and Education clients. From annual servicing, ppm, reactive and project works up to £200k
The role is a very hands on, taking jobs from concept to completion, managing the client, estimation and PMing with the back office support including admin and scheduling teams.
We have a mix of employed plumbing and gas engineers along with utilising sub contractors.
Some of the duties include:
• Surveying & estimating of small works (planned and reactive) and ppm contracts.
• Leading the team of employed engineers including direct line management, performance management, mentoring and development of the team.
• Be responsible for the management of labour resources, along with the office team, on multiple sites to ensure project completion on time and within budget, including management of sub-contractors. Liaising with
the office team to schedule workload for service and reactive works
• Ensure service calls and small works projects are managed efficiently and delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality & regulative standards
• Provide clients with advice to ensure ongoing safety and efficiency of their systems
• Leading and improving the health and safety and compliance processes including undertaking regular site safety inspections, ensuring best practices are embedded throughout the company.
• Ensure implementation and compliance within gas policies and procedures including supporting the company with NICEIC/Gas Safe/OFTEC inspections
• Building relationships with new and existing clients to grow the turnover of the small works department
• Working closely with the Mechanical/Electrical Services Manager to successfully deliver joint projects and cross selling of services
• Support the wider business with technical knowledge.
• Training of the administration staff to understand the technical requirements of the jobs so to become more efficient in handling customer and engineer requirements
