Grade B -£39,784 (National Framework) or £45,456(London Framework – if you are London office based or homebased and live withinthe boundary of the M25) – There is also an additional homeworking allowance of£581 per annum for those working from home. For part time roles – please notethis will be pro rata.

Contracted Hours:Full-time 37 hours per week.Part-time, job-share and compressed hours will be considered, please discusswith us.

Location:Home-based, or Office based flexiblelocation. Hybrid working an option too.

About the roles….
This is an exciting timetobepartofCQC’s policy teamwhere you will havethe opportunity of being directly involved in the future of CQC throughsupporting the formulation and implementation of regulatory policy,andmethodology, right across CQC’s purpose,roleand functions.

We are seeking 3 Policy Officers tojoin us across Local Authority & Adult Social Care, Mental Health ´ and Systems & Primary Care.

CQC’s policy team lead on thedevelopment ofhigh-quality policy that enables CQC to delivery itsstrategic ambitions and regulate in a way that encourages improvement in thequality of care, meets our equality and human rights obligations, and shapesCQC’s future role in the health and social care system.

We work closely and collaborativelywith all parts of CQC, incorporating practical implications for delivery in ourthinking. Success for us means that CQC is better able to do its work to assessquality, respond to risk and encourage improvement.

Essential skills required…
Experience of analysing the impact of legislation and policy and delivering policy projects.
Experience of taking a structured approach to problem solving in a policy context.
Experience of developing and delivering clear policy proposals, recommendations and guidance for wider implementation by internal and external stakeholders and evaluating impact.
Knowledge of the health and social care sector, government and/or regulation.
Knowledge and understanding of the development of regulatory frameworks and methods and their implementation.
