Your Role
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will:
* Provide consistent, personalised care throughout the night.
* Support personal care and daily living tasks as needed.
* Maintain a calm, safe, and nurturing home environment.
* Monitor wellbeing and behaviour, reporting concerns promptly.
* Communicate effectively with the daytime team to ensure seamless care.
* Keep clear and accurate records of overnight activities and observations.
* Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
* Contribute to care plans and follow behaviour support strategies.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
* Experience supporting children or young people (residential care, fostering, education, or similar).
* Strong communication skills and ability to build trust and positive relationships.
* Empathy, resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for making a difference.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* Flexibility to work waking night shifts, including weekends.
* Team player with a proactive, caring approach.
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People's Workforce.
* First Aid training.
* Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours.
* Full UK driving licence.
