Vacancy Details

* Duration: Fixed term of 12 months (Please note, secondments are subject to line manager approval, please discuss this with them before applying).
* Location: This role is based in the Quadrant:MK. This role is a full‑time opportunity, flexible working patterns will be considered. For Quadrant:MK, you must live within 90 minutes.
* Band & Salary: Band 5, £30,000 circa


Brief Description

Join a collaborative national communications team where youll partner with colleagues across the organisation to shape and deliver engaging, high‑impact communications. This is an opportunity to play a visible role in bringing business priorities to life through compelling content and campaigns, while building strong relationships and helping ensure key messages resonate with the right audiences.


About the team…

Youll be part of the national communications team, working within a business‑partnering environment that supports teams across the organisation. The team plays a key role in delivering clear, consistent, and engaging communications, collaborating closely with colleagues to understand business priorities and provide tailored support that connects people with what matters most.


What does the average day look like?

A typical day involves working closely with colleagues across the business to support the delivery of engaging communications that reach the right audiences through the most effective channels. The role includes researching, drafting and refining content, contributing to communication strategies. Producing a range of materials that support business priorities is also a key part of the role. Time is also spent meeting with stakeholders to understand their needs, providing tactical communications support across different functions, and ensuring all outputs align with corporate guidelines and maintain a consistent tone and style. Collaboration is at the heart of this job. As part of the national communications team, the postholder will be helping to deliver joined‑up internal messaging while supporting wider corporate initiatives.


Who are we looking for?

Were looking for someone with strong communication skills and potential experience working in a business‑partnering environment, confident engaging with a range of stakeholders across a complex organisation. Youll bring hands‑on experience in delivering communications, whether in a formal role or as part of a wider position, with evidence of creating campaigns and producing effective materials. A good understanding of communications principles is important, supported by relevant training or qualifications, though not necessarily a degree. The ability to build relationships, understand business needs, and deliver a responsive, service‑oriented approach will set you apart.


Essential Criteria

* Experience in communications, either internal or external
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Good organisational and time‑management skills


Desirable

* Experience writing for channels, either internal or external
* Good attention to detail
* Experience of working collaboratively to deliver
