To support the Operation across the EDF/HPC Wincanton Contract, we are looking for an experienced H&S Officer to join our established team that is Helping Britain Achieve Net Zero. The role will be based on the Bridgwater site with travel to other locations. It is essential to support the Operations team in this key role, which is crucial for the daily operations and successful delivery of the contract.
Responsibilities:
1. Support and lead the creation and maintenance of Management Plans, Risk Assessments, and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
2. Deliver training, record colleague sign-offs, and escalate training gaps.
3. Input, analyze, and report all Health, Safety, and Environment information to Wincanton and Client systems.
4. Chair, present, and update minutes from HSE meetings, pursue closure on actions, and escalate where necessary.
5. Manage contractors before, during, and after site access, including paperwork, Permit to Works, defects, equipment suitability, inductions, and pass control.
6. Serve as the point of contact for all HSE escalations across eDF/Wincanton sites.
7. Liaise and communicate HSE updates to all colleagues.
Working Hours & Benefits:
* Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm

Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience working with third-party service providers to resolve issues.
* Experience in a logistics role.
* ESSENTIAL: NEBOSH qualification.
* CITB Managers and Professionals - conditional offer until completed.
Site Specific Requirements:
* Complete CITB Operatives H&S before start date.
* Provide a 3-year work/unemployment/education history and undergo vetting in line with HPC protocols.
* Obtain the HPC pass.
