Salary
National (Edinburgh and Leeds): £72,100 – £85,000 (based on skills and experience). London: £79,300 – £95,000.
Role Responsibilities
* Join a high‑impact intelligence gateway team, central to tackling financial crime.
* Drive collaboration across enforcement triage, intelligence networks and internal teams to ensure intelligence informs priorities and strategic objectives.
* Represent the FCA in external intelligence sharing forums, managing sensitive requests and referrals effectively.
* Lead and develop a high‑performing team, fostering coaching, growth and accountability.
* Influence decision making by engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and providing actionable intelligence products.
* Contribute to departmental strategy and operations, ensuring cross‑functional alignment and delivering measurable impact.
* Operate as a specialist intelligence bureau managing inbound and outbound enquiries, providing tactical insights that shape early interventions.
Minimum Skills Required
* Experience leading and uplifting teams, managing priorities and supporting growth.
* Experience in UK criminal investigations and intelligence gathering.
* Experience building collaborative stakeholder relationships to enable regulatory or criminal outcomes.
Essential Skills
* Strategic, adaptable leader with proven success in coaching and aligning teams.
* Clear communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
* Accredited by NCA POCC as a Financial Intelligence Officer or competent in SARs regime, with knowledge of financial intelligence systems.
* Experienced in intelligence operations, including project delivery and financial intelligence systems; supports out‑of‑hours activity when required.
