This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check. As a Care and Support Worker at Longlands Care Home, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care to our residents. You’ll support older people and those living with dementia in their daily routines, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with personal care such as washing, dressing, and toiletingSupporting residents with mobility and mealtimesEngaging in meaningful activities and social interactionMonitoring and reporting changes in residents’ health and wellbeingWorking collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionalsEnsuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all residentsThis role is based in our purpose-built facility in Daventry, which includes both long-term residential care and short-term respite care. Offering, 24 hours per week. (Consisting of x2, 12 hours): Shifts: 7.45am - 8.15pm, with alternate weekends. About you Are you a compassionate, reliable individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of older people. You’ll be someone who: Has a caring and empathetic nature.Communicates effectively and respectfully.Works well as part of a team and independently.Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of residents.Has experience in a care setting (preferred but not essential — full training provided).Is flexible and willing to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
