The Liaison Psychiatry service provides mental health advice and support to individuals receiving care in general hospitals in Kent and Medway. The team can offer advice, support, or a full mental and psychological health assessment as appropriate, ensuring holistic care in collaboration with hospital staff.
Responsibilities
* Offer high quality assessment and brief interventions with a focus on people in distress related to mental and physical health conditions.
* Develop clinics, provide consultation, and contribute to teaching within a multidisciplinary hospital team.
* Receive regular supervision and team support to develop practice in Liaison Psychiatry while supporting the MDT in delivering quick, accessible services.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Specialist post-graduate CBT qualification with BABCP registration OR a doctorate-level or equivalent BPS approved qualification in Clinical/Counselling psychology with HCPC registration.
* Experience in a range of clinical settings with the ability to support people in acute distress.
