Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead a well-established Scottish Steel Fabrication Company with a turnover of over £7m, in the farming and industrial sectors. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including operations, sales, finance, and personnel management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve financial targets
* Lead and manage a team of employees, including production staff, sales team, and administrative staff
* Ensure efficient and effective operations, including quality control, production scheduling, and inventory management
* Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
* Monitor and analyse financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
* Implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
* Stay current on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and competitiveness in the market
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
* At least 5 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in the steel fabrication industry
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving financial targets
* Knowledge of steel fabrication processes and industry standards
* Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
