The Role - Quantity Surveyor
As a Quantity Surveyor your role will be to work within & assist the commercial & construction teams to ensure the project is delivered successfully, while maintaining relationships, maximise commercial returns & manage risk.
You will be working on a large £120m new build development in Manchester and will be responsible for the following:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the commercial team
Prepare tenders - measure, put into packages, analyse
Prepare variations/valuations
Prepare Final Accounts
Prepare s/c valuations
Attend site client meetings
Prepare client quotations/Estimates
Liaise with Site Management
Take responsibility for:
Maintaining site records, control documents
Measuring progress on site
Consider Risk & opportunity
CVR reports
Assist as required for larger value works
Produce for small value projects and report to SQS/MQS
Cash management
Timely application/invoices in line with client schedule
Understand & assist in the implementation of the commercial strategy
At all times act in a suitable & professional manner
Involved with & take some responsibility on traditional contracts
Involvement but no responsibility for:
Negotiation with subcontractors
Interpretation of contract law
Required Experience?
Completed (Degree/HND/HNC Upwards)
Ability to effectively utilise a range of Microsoft Office tools
Able to manipulate, manage/interrogate data
Be fully conversant with the use of the Standard Method of Measurement
