Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in both care home and home care settings. Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and caring environment.
* Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required, ensuring dietary needs are met.
* Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
* Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with residents and team members.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when required.
* Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is essential.
* Basic IT skills are required for maintaining records and using healthcare software applications.
