HAYS - Payroll Manager, part-time FTC circa 15 months - Hybrid working 22.5 hours p/w - £55k pro rata
Your new companyHAYS have partnered exclusively with this leading technology business based in the Cheshire/Stockport area. As they seek a part-time Payroll Manager on a fixed term basis for approximately 15 months. Your new roleThis role plays a vital part in ensuring our colleagues are paid accurately, on time, and with care, while continuously improving payroll processes and supporting a positive employee experience.You will take ownership of end-to-end payroll delivery, working closely with HR, Finance and external providers, and acting as a trusted expert for all payroll-related matters.What you'll need to succeed
* Lead and manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness.
* Act as the subject-matter expert for payroll queries, providing clear advice to colleagues and stakeholders
* Ensure full compliance with HMRC legislation, RTI submissions, statutory payments and reporting requirements
* Oversee pension contributions, auto-enrolment processes and liaison with pension providers
* Manage payroll controls, reconciliations and month-end / year-end activities including P60s and P11Ds
* Partner closely with HR and Finance to ensure seamless data flows and strong governance
* Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls and systems, supporting continuous improvement
* Work collaboratively with external payroll providers and local country vendors
* Support audits and respond to payroll-related queries confidently and professionally.
