HGV Class 1 Driver (LTD) – Haydock
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver (LTD) based in Haydock. This is an excellent short-term opportunity offering great rates of pay, consistent work, and a professional working environment throughout the busy peak period.
Shifts • Day and night work – 7-day operation
Rates of Pay (LTD) • Monday to Friday (Days): £19.50 per hour • Monday to Friday (Nights): £20.50 per hour • Saturday: £21.50 per hour • Sunday: £24.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties • Safely and efficiently driving Category CE vehicles • Trunking between depots and distribution centres • Carrying out store deliveries as required • Ensuring all loads are safely secured • Conducting vehicle inspections and reporting any faults • Completing deliveries in a timely and professional manner • Communicating effectively with the transport office • Complying with all working time rules and driving regulations • Completing all necessary paperwork accurately
Essential Skills • Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence • Minimum 2 years' experience driving Category CE vehicles • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN10, DR10, DD10) • Strong communication and customer service skills
Desirable Experience • Over 2 years' Class 1 driving experience • Experience handling double-decker trailers
Training Provided • Paid site induction • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment • Limited companies welcome
