We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Building Services Maintenance Engineer to join our Facilities Management team at West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Mon to Fri.
The role:
* Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor
* Providing technical engineering support within the Hard FM Services department by carrying out preventative maintenance to deadline and maintaining paperwork to support PPM activities
* Responding to reactive and emergency faults and conducting reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPIs
* Managing sub-contractors as necessary, working to a safe system of work and permit-to-work system
* Undertaking AP/RP duties for the disciplines for which you have been appointed
* Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with participation in out-of-hours on-call rota and able to respond/attend site within one hour of the call
The person:
* Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience; AP in HV desirable
* Experience in building services maintenance is essential
* Willingness to attain cross skilling and IT literate
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Good planning, organising, and prioritising skills
* Ability to use initiative and judgment to resolve problems
* Experience in a Healthcare environment is an advantage
* Good understanding of health & safety best practices; formal training is an advantage
