Digital Marketing Manager Up to £40k Full-time | Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm, Friday: 8.30am-4.30pm Hybrid: Newcastle based with the ability to travel to other UK offices including our Sheffield head office (expenses paid for non-local journeys) We are Edwin – a growing collective of education professionals working together to positively impact the lives of young people. We’re now looking for a talented and driven Digital Marketing Manager to help shape and deliver leading digital strategies across our nine brands. The role: This role within our Marketing team will take ownership of our core digital operations. You’ll play a key role in shaping the digital customer journey, enhancing user experience and ensuring our platforms support the needs of our audiences at every stage. As Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll help plan and implement digital strategies that support brand growth, enhance SEO and improve lead generation and build strong digital engagement. You will also manage ongoing development and optimisation of our digital touchpoints and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistency, quality and innovation across all digital channels. What you’ll do: Support the Director of Marketing in developing and delivering digital strategies across our website portfolio, aligned with business goals Manage and optimise all brand websites and apps, ensuring seamless UX, performance and functionality. Map and refine digital customer journeys to enhance engagement and support lead generation. Collaboration across marketing, campaigns, and creative colleagues, to ensure that website portfolio optimises for campaign effectiveness. Oversee the digital development roadmap, coordinating with internal teams and external developers to deliver new features, pages and platforms. Lead SEO strategy across all websites, ensuring on-page and technical SEO best practices are implemented to improve search visibility, increase organic traffic and support lead generation goals. Use analytics to track ROI, assess performance and make data-informed recommendations for improvement, with regular reporting and actions. Stay informed of emerging digital trends, technologies and best practices to ensure the Group’s digital assets remain innovative and competitive. Content management Oversee and contribute to the production of high-quality content, including copy, imagery and video, in collaboration with the Creative team. Manage digital and social content activities, including publishing, audience interaction, performance monitoring and optimisation. Collaborate with partners and internal stakeholders to extend reach and enhance engagement. Collaboration & brand governance Act as a digital brand guardian, ensuring tone of voice, design and messaging remain consistent across all digital touchpoints. Provide training, resources and guidance to internal teams on digital platforms, content creation and best practices. Support the development and compliance with digital policies. Track, analyse and report on digital performance, identifying trends and actionable insights. Make strategic adjustments based on performance data to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Work closely with Marketing colleagues to ensure budgets related to digital activities drive cost-effective delivery and maximum ROI. Act as an ambassador for the Group’s ESG Strategy ensuring both you and those whom you manage share a commitment to adopt, promote and comply with ESG policies, developments, and initiatives. What we’re looking for: Proven ability to apply SEO best practices across diverse digital platforms, with a strategic understanding of how search performance drives marketing outcomes and lead generation. Proven experience in website development, as well as managing digital content for multiple brands, with a strong track record of growing audiences and driving engagement. Demonstrable expertise in managing and optimising digital assets, with a solid understanding of user experience (UX) principles and digital customer journeys. Strong copywriting skills, capable of creating engaging, targeted content across multiple digital channels, along with experience overseeing visual and video content production in close collaboration with creative/design teams. Excellent data analysis skills, with the ability to monitor performance, interpret analytics and leverage insights to optimise digital strategies. Commitment to staying at the forefront of emerging digital trends, technologies and best practices, with a passion for continuous learning and innovation. Extensive experience with digital marketing tools and systems, with advanced proficiency in Google Analytics. Ability to manage budgets effectively and make cost-conscious decisions that maximise ROI. A team player who enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
