Vacancy: Data Metrics Data Analyst Closing date: Monday 6 April Shortlisting: Tuesday 7 April Proposed Interview date: w/c 13 April Salary: £36,411.53 About the vacancy: Were looking for a proactive and curious Metrics Data Analyst to play a key role in strengthening our performance measurement and insight capabilities. In this role, youll transform complex operational data into accessible, high-quality metrics that support confident decision making and great service delivery. In this role youll collaborate across teams to improve data quality, develop robust reporting mechanisms, maintain our metrics register, and ensure data integrity throughout its lifecycle. Specifically, in the role you will: Data Governance & Compliance Implement and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures across Hedyn to empower data owners to manage their data throughout its lifecycle. Support the implementation of Hedyns data governance model to provide a consistent approach to data quality and integrity. Ensure data handling complies with privacy regulations and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR). Identify the business impacts of poor data quality identifying and documenting the risks in a non-technical manner to provide actionable insight for the Data and Insight teams and metric owners. Data Quality & Integrity Collaborate with the Insight team to develop, implement, and monitor data quality rules and standards related to performance metrics. Develop tools and services to automate the detection and assessment of data quality issues. Develop data quality action plans which address root cause issues and monitor data quality action delivery plans. Undertake data quality assessments on a regular basis to ensure data used within metrics is fit for purpose. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across systems to create robust datasets for decision making. Support development and amendment of business processes in relation to data and data quality. Lead on production of data and reporting by producing data quality information and undertaking integrity checks for key data sources. Produce and implement development plans to improve the quality and alignment of metrics to ensure they are fit for purpose. Inform the Data and Insight teams of any data quality or integrity issues identified, and support solution development and implementation. Contribute to the development and improvement of data collection and analysis processes to support metrics. Documentation & Assurance Manage and maintain the metrics register ensuring it is accurate and provides relevant information to key stakeholders. Maintain the metric change log and document relevant information to provide an audit trail for metrics. Produce and manage appropriate documentation on the calculation of the metrics during the reporting cycles including any validation and amendments required to clean the data. Document data quality assessment findings and develop actions to address these by identifying root cause issues. Metric Development Co-ordinate the creation of metrics for regular reporting requirements producing progress information and identifying issues which may affect timely and accurate reporting. Support with the completion of internal and external reports and returns working collaboratively with metric owners and the Insights team. Collaborate with the Insights team, to specify, develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to visualise metrics data highlighting trend and patterns to support metric Collaborate with the Insights team to create actionable insights to develop metrics data and definitions to drive great decision making. Collaboration & Support Work closely with key stakeholders, data owners and metric owners to identify and address data quality issues developing a regular cycle for assessing datasets to support reporting requirements. Collaborate with the Insights team to develop metric technical specifications by engaging in purposeful conversations with metric owners. Collaborate with Digital colleagues to specify solutions for effective data management. Advise and support colleagues with data responsibilities to implement solutions and take responsibility for data quality in their areas. Upskill colleagues in data governance to further Hedyns data maturity journey. (Please refer to the attached role profile for more information.)
