Duties
* Provide personal care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses
* Support daily living activities for patient care
* Maintain infection control measures through cleaning of clinical areas
* Maintain stock levels of supplies
* Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and team members
Role & Apprenticeship
You will be supported whilst learning how to maintain high patient care standards. Apprenticeship training will include an SVQ Level 2 Healthcare (Clinical) qualification, digital skills, health sector knowledge, human body, management of complex clinical environment, equality & diversity, patient safety, multidisciplinary reporting and confidence building.
Apprenticeship Conditions
* Between 16 and 24 years of age (or up to 29 if you have a disability or care experienced)
* Hold a National 4 or above in English and Mathematics or core skills at level 4, achieved within another qualification
Under 18 Working Hours
No more than 8 hours a day or 40 hours per week. 12 hours uninterrupted break between shifts. 2 consecutive days off per week (48 hours). 30‑minute break if working more than 4.5 hours a day.
