Pharmacy Technician – Aseptic Services
We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician – Aseptic Services at NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group. You will work in our highly regarded Aseptic Production Unit (APU), which moved into a brand-new facility in 2023. The role includes rotations through cytotoxic reconstitution, CIVAS and total parenteral nutrition (TPN).
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day support within the chemotherapy – cytotoxic reconstitution service.
* Support the parenteral nutrition service, producing both hospital and home products for adult and neonatal patients.
* Operate the intravenous additive service, supplying a wide range of products to both NHS and external customers.
* Maintain and update equipment, facilities and training documents, reporting any deviations to the Aseptic Services Pharmacist.
* Coordinate with customers, quality control personnel and carriers to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of aseptic products.
* Prepare monthly workload statistics for the Senior Technician – Aseptic Services.
Required Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services or Science Manufacturing Technician, or equivalent, and a member of the GPhC, Science Council or equivalent (or currently working towards this qualification).
* Experience in a sterile or aseptic environment is desirable.
* Excellent organisational and teamwork skills.
