Our client is looking to hire an Intermediate Android Developer for a large healthcare client.
Their team consists of 40+ developers and designers scales to support the growing scope and complexity of the healthcare services offered by the healthcare client, they're looking for a talented developer experienced in Android and Kotlin to join our team.
Responsibilities:
As an Android developer, you will:
1. Work with a focused team of other talented engineers, designers, and product managers to enhance our existing patient-facing Android app
2. Lead design and implementation of complex features and architectural improvements
3. Autonomously build end-to-end features while mentoring junior and intermediate developers
4. Ensure performance, quality, and scalability of the application
5. Drive technical decisions and establish best practices for Android development across the team
6. Collaborate with engineering leadership to shape the technical roadmap and architecture
7. Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
8. Champion quality through comprehensive testing strategies and CI/CD practices
Must Haves:
9. 5+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin
10. Experience with MVI/Redux or other unidirectional data flow architectures
11. Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and asynchronous programming
12. Experience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development
13. Comprehensive experience writing Unit Tests and UI Automation Tests
14. Proven experience working with RESTful APIs and backend integration
15. Experience with Play Store management, release processes, and production support
16. BS/MS degree in Computer Science or closely related field, or equivalent practical experience
Nice To Haves:
17. CI/CD experience with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise
18. Experience with performance monitoring tools (Android Studio Performance Monitoring, Crashlytics, etc.)
19. Experience mentoring or leading technical teams
20. Knowledge of security best practices for healthcare/HIPAA-compliant applications
21. Contributions to open-source Android projects
