As a Freight Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the end-to-end movement of goods across multiple transport modes. You will ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of shipments while maintaining excellent communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate international and domestic shipments across sea, air, road, and rail.
* Liaise with carriers, agents, and customs brokers to ensure smooth cargo movement.
* Prepare and manage shipping documentation including bills of lading, customs declarations, and delivery notes.
* Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
* Maintain accurate records in the transport management system (TMS).
* Communicate with clients regarding shipment updates, exceptions, and service improvements.
* Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to support client needs and optimise logistics solutions.
Experience
* Proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations, ideally in amultimodal environment.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
* Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
