Who You Are You are a passionate and experienced social worker with a track record of maintaining high standards in practice. You should be committed to working with adolescents and have either worked as an Advanced Practitioner, an Assistant Team Manager, or a Duty Team Manager. Your experience should ideally include working with adolescent, referral and assessment (R&A), or safeguarding teams. What the Job Involves This role involves working on challenging and complex cases as an expert social worker within the Children’s Social Care Directorate. You will support and deputize for the Team Manager by providing supervision, advice, mentoring, and consultation to less experienced social workers. You will work with adolescents aged 11–17 years old who are at risk of extra-familial harm, those missing, on the edge of care, and affected by youth homelessness. The position also includes managing a small caseload, chairing meetings, authorizing assessments, and facilitating team practice development and group supervision sessions. The role will be based at Laurence House in Catford, with a hybrid working model of both office and community-based work.
