Overview
We are seeking a skilled Self Employed Plumbing and Heating Engineer to undertake a variety of plumbing, heating, and mechanical tasks. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both domestic and commercial environments, capable of working independently, and equipped with a broad skill set. This role offers flexibility for self-employment with the opportunity to manage multiple projects across different sites. Duties
* Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and heating systems in residential and commercial properties.
* Conducting welding and assembly tasks as required for bespoke or complex installations.
* Using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
* Performing basic carpentry work related to pipework supports or structural modifications.
* Carrying out heavy lifting of materials such as pipes, boilers, or other equipment safely and effectively.
* Diagnosing mechanical issues within systems and implementing appropriate solutions.
* Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.
* Managing multiple projects independently, scheduling work effectively across different sites.
* Maintaining detailed records of work completed and materials used for each project.
Experience
* Proven experience as a plumbing and heating engineer, preferably self-employed or in a similar freelance capacity.
* Demonstrable knowledge of plumbing systems, heating installations, and mechanical components.
* Skilled in welding techniques with certification preferred but not essential.
* Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes related to plumbing/heating work.
* Good understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs.
* Experience in carpentry work related to building supports or structural modifications is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on various job sites.
* Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving duties is desirable but not mandatory; flexibility to travel between sites is essential.
