SAP Finance Systems Manager
Northampton (hybrid)
£70,000 – £80,000 per annum
SystemsAccountants are supporting a leading professional services organisation in the search for an experienced SAP Manager to oversee and optimise their SAP S/4HANA environment.
This is a key leadership role responsible for the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of a complex SAP landscape, while also supporting future transformation initiatives including SAP RISE readiness.
The Role
The successful candidate will lead a team of SAP specialists across support, enhancement delivery, and operational management activities. The role combines technical oversight, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and people leadership within a business‑critical SAP environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a team of SAP analysts and developers
* Oversee day‑to‑day SAP S/4HANA operations and service delivery
* Coordinate enhancements, incidents, releases, and change requests
* Support month‑end, year‑end, and other critical business processes
* Work closely with third‑party support and hosting partners
* Ensure effective governance across transports, documentation, and system controls
* Support roadmap planning, upgrades, optimisation, and future cloud transformation initiatives
* Collaborate with business stakeholders across finance and HR functions
Required Experience
* Proven experience managing SAP support or application teams
* Strong SAP S/4HANA operational knowledge
* Experience across SAP FICO and HCM modules
* Understanding of SAP integrations, workflows, authorisations, and change management
* Experience working within structured IT service environments (ITIL/CAB/release management)
* Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
Desirable
* Experience supporting professional services or regulated environments
* Exposure to SAP RISE or cloud transformation programmes
