Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
3. Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
4. Support children in daily activities, including education, leisure, and personal care.
5. Maintain a safe and secure environment for all residents.
6. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers and educators.
7. Document and report on the progress and needs of each child.
8. Engage in training and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
9. Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential setting.
10. Relevant qualifications in childcare, social work, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare).
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
13. Understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
14. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support children.
15. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
16. Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
