About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Travel Trade Executiveto help strengthen Birmingham Airport’s position as a leading gateway for business and leisure travel. In this outward-facing role, you will build strong relationships across the travel trade and corporate travel sectors, gather insights on travel trends, and represent Birmingham Airport at key industry events and forums.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain relationships with airline sales teams, corporates, TMCs, tour operators, and travel agents.
2. Gather and analyse data on corporate and leisure travel trends to support commercial and route development decisions.
3. Promote Birmingham Airport as a key gateway for domestic and international travel.
4. Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams on B2B campaigns and trade promotions.
5. Organise, coordinate, and represent the Airport at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
6. Manage your workload, diary, and the dedicated travel trade budget effectively.
Experience Required:
7. Experience in business travel, travel trade, aviation, or destination management.
8. Strong understanding of TMCs, tour operators, travel agent networks, and corporate travel dynamics.
9. Ability to analyse travel data and deliver meaningful insights.
10. Proven relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
11. Excellent organisational abilities with confidence representing an organisation at events.
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel, including evenings and weekends when required.
