The Role
* As a Kitchen Porter, you will oversee the hotel back-of-house operation
* You will ensure proper maintenance of all operating equipment and dish washing machines and providing the highest level of attention to the cleanliness and sanitation of all food and storage outlets.
* Clean and keep tidy the restaurant(s), kitchen(s) and all food outlets within the hotel
* Keep storerooms clean and tidy at all times
* Ensure hygiene and health and safety standards are met at all times
* Work with the kitchen to provide excellent service to our Guests
Overlooking the Royal Mile, this modern hotel in an imposing Victorian building is a 3-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station and a 9-minute walk from Edinburgh Castle. Contemporary rooms come with work stations, TVs, minifridges and free WiFi. Some have views over Arthur's Seat. There’s a grill restaurant, as well as a chic bar. Other amenities include a fitness room and 7 meeting spaces, including a ballroom with city views and seating for up to 300.
