Interim Project Manager (Contract)

A great interim opportunity for a hands-on Interim Project Manager experienced in process improvement, system implementation and operational transformation.
This is a key contract role, offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to deliver tangible business improvements within a fast-moving organisation.
The role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to UK sites to support stakeholder engagement and project delivery.
The Role
You will lead end-to-end process improvement initiatives, with a strong focus on operational efficiency and the successful implementation of new IT systems. Working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, you will redesign workflows, improve data visibility, and embed best-practice processes across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing and improving existing business processes, particularly across the order-to-cash lifecycle
Supporting and leading IT system implementations, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic objectives
Conducting process mapping, gap analysis, and root-cause investigations
Producing clear documentation, including SOPs, process flows, and training materials
Facilitating workshops, training sessions, and change initiatives to drive adoption
Monitoring performance post-implementation and driving continuous improvement
Applying structured methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile
About You
You will be an experienced process or transformation professional with:
A strong background in process improvement, business analysis, or operational transformation
Proven experience supporting IT system implementations, ideally in workforce or end-to-end operational systems
Experience within engineering, construction or telecoms environments would be highly desirable
Confidence using process mapping and project management tools
An analytical, delivery-focused mindset
