Calstan Mechanical LTD are a mechanical & electrical business currently based in Ford. We require an experienced Book Keeper with excellent knowledge of Xero. We are a growing business and envisage the working hours will increase over the next few years as the business grows.
Job Purpose:
To ensure all financial transactions are up to date and accurate in a timely manner, reconcile the bank account, ensure Purchase Orders are being used and accurately project costed, undertake credit control, process the payroll via Xero and to provide financial reports to the Directors. Manage Invoice Finance account and relevant uploads.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure Purchase orders are used and accurately project costed
* Creating accounts for new customers in Xero.
* Support the production of applications to clients
* Input all purchase and sales invoices
* Allocate purchase and sales ledger cash to supplier and sales ledger
* Prepare sale invoices
* Complete the bank reconciliation
* CIS Returns/Statements
* VAT Returns
* Produce monthly supplier payment reports
* Work with the Operations Manager to send customer statements
* Dealing with sales and purchase ledger queries in an effective and timely manner.
* Effective and efficient credit control
* Review and process timesheets
* Maintaining confidentiality of the business finances in a small team
Essential Requirements:
* Excellent working knowledge of Xero minimum of 2 years' experience
* Accurate data entry skills
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Highly organised, detail driven and effective user and improver of processes
* Experience of Credit Control
* Construction industry scheme knowledge
Essential Minimum Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting Programmes. Xero training will be given.
Previous experience in data entry and accounts payable is advantageous
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Desirable Qualifications/Requirements:
Xero Experience
AAT Level 2/3
Experience with JobLogic
Experience in the construction industry
