Job Summary Oversees the administration and continual improvement of quality management systems. What You Will Do: - Developing quality assurance strategies, processes, guidelines and control plans which assure quality and reliability of manufactured products. - Recruiting, developing, and leading staff to accomplish personal and organizational goals, adhere to policies/procedures and promote a culture of continuous improvement. - Communicating adherence to client requirements, product or service specifications, and ensures that their expectations are met to achieve high customer satisfaction rates. - Managing process to achieve compliance for internal quality audits and coordinate external on-site audits; analyzing all product development and manufacturing procedures to identify deviations from quality standards and recommend and implement corrective actions. - Driving change based on data; reviewing reports to review with quality assurance, production, management, and engineering personnel to solve quality issues. What You Have: Degree or equivalent experience desired Skill Descriptors Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes. Level Extensive Knowledge: - Manages the adoption of lean manufacturing principles across the organization. - Teaches others about how lean approach integrates operations, customers, logistics and product development. - Consults on work cell design and plan layout in support of lean principles. - Consults on the use of lean approaches across multiple functions. - Trains others on key lean measurements and tools and techniques for measuring performance. - Participates in detailed planning for implementing and monitoring lean manufacturing. Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. Level Working Knowledge: - Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives. - Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder. - Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information. - Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution. - Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems. Quality Management System (QMS): Knowledge of Quality Management System's (QMS) functions, features, and capabilities; ability to design, implement, test, and maintain Quality Management Systems to consistently meet customer requirements and regulatory compliances. Level Working Knowledge: - Adheres to the process, requirements, and documentation associated with QMS. - Contributes to the development of business case analysis for a new QMS functionality in the system. - Explains and analyzes quality indicators and metrics relevant to one's business unit or function. - Monitors key interfaces and criticalities related to QMS. - Reviews various QMS products and service providers available in the market and lists their applications. Relationship Management : Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Level Working Knowledge: - Provides prompt and effective responses to client requests and interactions. - Monitors client satisfaction levels on a regular basis. - Alerts own team to problems in client satisfaction. - Differentiates the roles and responsibilities in a business relationship. - Works with clients to address critical issues and resolve major problems.
