The Role
We’re looking for a finance professional to join our Board of Trustees as Treasurer. This is a rewarding voluntary role where your strategic insight and financial acumen will help shape the future of our charity and strengthen our impact in the community.
You’ll work alongside our Chief Officer, Management Accountant, and fellow Trustees to provide sound financial governance and ensure our resources are used effectively to support local people.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Help set appropriate budgets and ensure our financial strategy is fit for purpose.
* Review management reports.
* Present financial updates at our AGM.
* Help ensuring financial policies and controls meet best practice standards.
* Understand financial risks and opportunities to support confident decision-making.
About You
You’ll bring a recognised accounting qualification and/or senior finance management experience. Most importantly, you’ll share our commitment to social justice and want to use your professional skills to make a positive difference locally.
You’ll be based in or near Southampton, Hampshire, and able to attend around 6–8 Board and Finance Committee meetings a year.
Please note: This is a voluntary role, and we are unable to sponsor applicants from abroad. You must have the right to work in the UK.
What We Offer
* A meaningful opportunity to give back to your community.
* The chance to work with a passionate and supportive team of staff and volunteers.
* Experience in charity governance within a respected national network.
If this sounds like the right challenge for you, we’d love to hear from you.
Please send your CV and a short covering letter explaining your interest.
