About the Role — To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with that brings a wide variety of shift patterns; weekend working is a requirement of the role, and we may need to be flexible with your work pattern. Our in-store Pharmacies are popular with customers and require warmth and friendliness, confidence to discuss personal health issues, and the ability to resolve customer problems and direct them to the right products. You will also be responsible for assembling and processing prescriptions accurately. You will drive awareness of extra services in Pharmacy (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews, etc). You will support the Pharmacist with delivery and accurate record keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes, etc). You will develop an understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures and work to them as customers expect. You will collect customers' prescriptions from their doctor’s surgery and bring them to the store for collection. You will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and then train as a Dispensing Assistant to continue your pharmacy training. You have good computer skills, attention to detail and you communicate well with customers. You love problem solving and you’re passionate about helping people and care about giving customers a great healthcare experience, helping them find what they need and having a chat along the way.
Responsibilities

* Discuss personal health issues with customers in a confident and friendly manner and direct them to appropriate products.
* Assemble and process prescriptions accurately.
* Promote and drive awareness of pharmacy services (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews).
* Support the Pharmacist with delivery and record keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes, etc).
* Understand and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies.
* Collect customers' prescriptions from doctor’s surgeries and bring them to the store for collection.
* Progress through accredited training to become a Medicine Counter Assistant and then a Dispensing Assistant.
