Key Responsibilities
* Source, buy, and sell a variety of nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts, etc.) and dried fruits (raisins, apricots, figs, etc.) globally.
* Develop and maintain relationships with producers, processors, and customers to expand our trading network.
* Identify market trends, pricing movements, and supply/demand dynamics to make informed trading decisions.
* Negotiate trade contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers and customers.
* Monitor and manage logistics, quality control, and inventory to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
* Collaborate with the finance team to manage risk and optimize cash flow.
* Prepare and present market analysis and trading reports to senior management.
* Engage in supply chain management to ensure quality assurance from origin to end customer.
* Participate in trade shows and industry events to represent the company and network within the industry.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
* 3–7 years of experience in trading nuts, dried fruits, or related commodities.
* Strong understanding of global market dynamics, pricing structures, and industry trends.
* Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record in contract negotiation.
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills—ability to analyze data trends and market statistics.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and trading software; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build rapport with stakeholders.
* Fluency in English and German is a must; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) are a plus.
* Willingness to travel for supplier meetings, market visits, and industry events.
