Our client is a national 24-hour Supported Living organisation, working in partnership with local authorities and the NHS to provide support for vulnerable individuals. We’re proud of our open-door culture and commitment to continuous improvement and we’re now looking for a skilled Finance Manager to join our team at head office in Hertford.
This is an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified (or finalist) ACCA/CIMA accountant to step into a broad finance role that combines technical financial reporting with hands-on operational involvement and leadership of a small finance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly & quarterly management accounts and group financial statements
* Produce detailed P&L reports and variance analysis
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and manage inter-company reconciliations
* Process payroll for multiple companies using Bright Pay
* Post journals and manage entries in Xero
* Partner with Local Authorities and Housing Benefit teams regarding payments and claims
* Support annual uplift calculations and liaise on outstanding debts (including CCJs)
* Work closely with external accountants on statutory and compliance matters
* Drive process improvements and support junior finance team members
* Provide commercial insights to management and build relationships across the organisation
What We’re Looking For
* Part-qualified or finalist stage ACCA / CIMA
* Strong background in management accounting and financial reporting
* Proficient in Xero, with experience in Bright Pay
* Excellent Excel and IT skills (SAP knowledge is a plus)
* Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organised
* Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively and build trust across teams
* Previous experience working with public sector stakeholders or in social care/supported housing is a bonus
