Description
We are looking for a
Build Process Engineer
to help drive consistency, efficiency, and excellence within our Build & Car Assembly Group. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to our performance on the track, working alongside world-class teams in a fast-paced and high-performance engineering environment. In this role you will collaborate across technical and production departments to drive continuous improvement and deliver best-in-class build processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain Intelligent Tooling Programmes (ITPs) aligned with engineering drawings, SOPs, and WIs.
* Create and manage build and sign-off check sheets for assemblies.
* Work closely with Production Planning to streamline shop order routings and support real-time production needs.
* Capture best practices from the workshop floor and turn them into actionable, standardised procedures.
* Support fault investigations with Reliability and implement containment measures.
* Champion ISO 9001 compliance and 6S principles across the group.
* Collaborate with Design Engineers to clarify build and tooling requirements.
* Contribute to Health & Safety through risk assessments, COSHH management and PPE standards.
* Support implementation of new processes to ensure alignment across teams.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* F1 experience in a similar role is essential.
* Proficiency with ERP systems (IFS, SAP or similar).
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 6S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Ability to interpret complex CAD drawings and technical documentation.
* Confident communicator with a hands-on approach and a proactive mindset.
* Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
* Strong team player with a flexible, collaborative attitude.
