Responsibilities:
Your role is not just a job; it's pre- and post-contract quantity surveying. Working independently while supporting staff in their journey towards professional fulfilment.
With a keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving, you'll navigate through challenges effortlessly, ensuring the seamless delivery project completion within the pre agreed costings and timeframes.
* Completion of measurement and production of bills of quantities.
* Overseeing and checking bills of quantities prepared by others.
* Producing tenders and relevant documentation.
* Supporting teams and junior staff to ensure delivery of targets.
* Measuring performance against budgets and timeframes.
* Making recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Working collaboratively with the wider team.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
* Degree qualified (minimum 2.1 or equivalent).
* Membership with RICS or a similar esteemed body, i.e CIOB.
* Experience in commercial project management and contract administration processes, coupled with your understanding of standard forms of contract.
* Ability to demonstrate previous experience and knowledge in construction & civil engineering.
* Excellent understanding of practical processes and use of standard forms.
* Competency with MS Office (Excel is essential).
* A proven track record of problem solving in a dynamic environment.
* Excellent communication and organisation.
* A team player, going above and beyond to achieve goals while supporting junior staff.
* Great attention to details.
* Willingness to develop and nurture skills to achieve further success.
