Job Title: Teacher (SEN Focus)
Salary Range: MPR
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and resilient Teacher to join our dedicated team supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with SEMH and moderate learning difficulties. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, personalised education to pupils working significantly below age-related expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum tailored to individual EHCPs.

* Teach pupils 1:1 or in small groups, both onsite and offsite when necessary.

* Lead and manage annual reviews, IEPs, and EHCP processes.

* Collaborate with parents, carers, external agencies, and staff to support pupils' development.

* Maintain accurate assessment data and contribute to the school’s safeguarding culture.

* Uphold high standards of teaching, behaviour, and wellbeing across the school community.

Essential Experience & Knowledge:

* Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree.

* Proven experience teaching primary-aged children with additional needs in mainstream or special settings.

* Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, child development, and adaptive curriculum planning.

* Experience managing challenging behaviour through relational and trauma-informed approaches.

* Confident in leading meetings, writing reports, and maintaining professional standards.

Desirable:

* SEND-specific training or qualifications (e.g., SENCO, mental health).

* Experience in leadership roles or conducting TA appraisals.

Personal Qualities:

* Commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all pupils.

* Resilience, flexibility, and a strong team ethos.

* Willingness to undertake physical intervention training if required.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive, empathetic approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
