IT Specialist - Business Applications - Manufacturing Central Apps
Huntsman is seeking an IT Specialist - Business Applications - Manufacturing Central Apps supporting the IT Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position reports to the IT Manager Sr - Manufacturing Center of Excellence.
In summary, as the IT Specialist, you will:
1. Manage the lifecycle of global or regional strategic applications, including documentation of each phase such as planning, design, testing, deployment, operations, maintenance, retirement, and rationalization. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and business owners throughout.
2. Assist in project implementation and coordinate with teams to ensure successful deployment.
3. Communicate tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing, maintaining effective work relations.
4. Provide 'follow the sun' support during critical incidents.
5. Collaborate closely with customers to understand their business processes, evaluate options, and recommend technology solutions or configuration changes.
6. Participate in planning, designing, configuring, installing, training, testing, and commissioning new technology solutions.
7. Ensure compliance with standards related to data management, system security, data security, account management, and change control to maintain system integrity. Provide production support, manage user access, and coordinate with technical resources as needed.
8. Perform additional tasks necessary to meet the manufacturing technology team's needs, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to organizational priorities.
Qualifications
You must meet the following minimum qualifications. Preferred qualifications are a plus.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications
* Associates Degree in Business/Computer Science with 5+ years of experience, or
* Bachelor's degree in Business/Computer Science with 3+ years of experience, or
* 10+ years of experience in similar roles without a degree.
Skills and Knowledge
* Deep knowledge of:
o Firewalls and cybersecurity best practices
o Networks, subnetting, packet flow
o Servers, storage, backups, high availability, fault tolerance
o Backups and disaster recovery
o Active Directory and Group Policy
o Virtual Desktop technologies (Azure, VMware, etc.)
o Automation tools and processes
o PowerShell / scripting
o System design diagramming
o Development and deployment of IT projects based on architecture designs
o Database design, SQL, tables, queries, relationships
* Some knowledge of:
o Data lakes and warehousing
o Programming languages
o Mobility solutions
