A leading Tier 1 main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their London delivery team. This role offers the opportunity to lead a diverse portfolio of high-profile schemes, including complex cut & carve projects valued up to £90m, major commercial developments, and a flagship residential project valued at £150m.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of large, technically complex projects from pre-construction through to handover. You will be client-facing, commercially aware, and capable of driving programme, quality, and safety across multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for project delivery, ensuring time, cost, quality, and safety targets are met
*
Leading and managing project teams, including Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors
*
Developing, owning, and maintaining detailed construction programmes (including creating programmes from first principles)
*
Managing complex cut & carve works within live or constrained environments
*
Driving value engineering and buildability solutions in collaboration with design and commercial teams
*
Maintaining strong client relationships and acting as the primary point of contact
*
Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards
*
Reporting progress, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
About You
*
Proven experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor
*
Demonstrable track record delivering large-scale projects (£50m+), including:
*
Cut & carve schemes
*
Major commercial developments
*
High-value residential projects
*
Strong technical construction knowledge
*
Ability to create, manage, and update construction programmes (Asta / Primavera or similar)
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
*
Commercially astute with a proactive, solution-focused approach
