Are you an experienced care professional ready to lead a team in an exciting new venture? Join us in reopening Mytholm Meadows Extra Care Scheme, providing essential support to residents in a newly refurbished setting.
As Deputy Team Leader, you will be responsible for the effective management of the day-to-day running of a CQC-registered care and support service within Mytholm Meadows Extra Care scheme, operated by Calderdale Council in partnership with Together Housing. Your focus will include assessing the needs of people we support, auditing, and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, community professionals, residents, and their families. The scheme is designed to support older adults with care needs to live independently within a safe and nurturing environment.
Key duties include:
1. Being a key member of a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team supporting adults of all ages within the extra care setting.
2. Promoting and maintaining individuals' independence, dignity, and choice.
3. Providing personalised support to enhance health and wellbeing within a community setting.
4. Ensuring the delivery of housing-related and wellbeing support to scheme residents.
5. Supporting tenants to settle into their new homes.
6. Encouraging community involvement in the scheme.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of person-centred values, have direct care experience, excellent communication and organisational skills, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in care or equivalent.
Most importantly, you will possess a positive attitude and a passion for supporting people's independence, dignity, and wellbeing, enhancing the experience for both staff and residents at Mytholm Meadows.
