What's involved with this role: Interim Children’s Social Worker - Safeguarding & Care Planning Reference no: Middlesbrough 1000499114891110 Pay rate: £222.00 per day PAYE Hours per week: 35-37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 5 months City: MIDDLESBROUGH Enhanced DBS required for this role A Children’s Social Worker is required to work in the Safeguarding and Care Planning Service. The Safeguarding team provide longer term support and interventions, through CIN, CP and CLA and the focus is on relationships and developing safety, progressing plans to get the best for our children and families. Key responsibilities: Undertake a comprehensive Social Work service to Children and Families who need support under Child in Need (S17) and Child Protection (Section 47), including PLO and Public Law proceedings work. Formulate and design appropriate plans to meet identified needs and to arrange the implementation of such plans, including the chairing of core groups and CIN meetings. Provide appropriate ongoing support to individuals and families as the key worker, this will include home visits, meetings, direct work/observations, completion of reports and assessments in relation to the child’s lived experience, including reports for initial and review child protection conferences, and looked after reviews. Ensure that individual professional standards are maintained in line with agreed levels, including full compliance with policy and procedural guidelines and accepting primary responsibility for the level and quality casework recording. Feed back to the Team Manager any issues in relation to the effective to provision of services or policies during regular supervisions.
