Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities, placed on us as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
Responsibilities
* Monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
* Manage day-to-day correspondence and record incoming documentation on our database to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected.
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers.
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act.
Team and Work Arrangements
We are fully committed to having an inclusive workforce to reflect the communities we serve. This role is a part-time job share (22.2 hours per week). The Reservoir Regulation team is part of the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department within the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The team is nationally dispersed and some travel and overnight stays will be required.
