Overview
Candidate Manager specialising in Residential Development, Town Planning, Infrastructure, Ecology, EIA and Renewable Energy. An opportunity for a Graduate Town Planner to join a well-established planning team in Cornwall. The successful candidate will support the delivery of planning for immediate housing developments across the south west. Working alongside experienced planning professionals, the role offers exposure to clients and local authorities, providing a strong foundation for professional growth.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
* Conducting planning research, site assessments, and policy analysis
* Supporting community engagement and consultation activities
* Preparing reports, planning statements, and other key documents
* Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and consultants as part of a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
* A degree (or near completion) in Town Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, or a related discipline
* Eligibility for RTPI accreditation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail
* An interest in the planning system and the built environment
* A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute
