About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons across Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level Physical Education. Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate a variety of sports and activities, including team sports, individual sports, and fitness training. Facilitate student-led training sessions, sports events, and competitions, encouraging participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Assess student progress through practical assessments, written analyses, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback. Contribute to the development and enhancement of the PE curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current sports science and best practices in physical education. Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as sports clubs, training sessions, and participation in inter-school competitions, to enhance student learning and provide opportunities for practical application of skills. Maintain and organize sports equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field. Extensive experience teaching PE to GCSE and A-Level, with a focus on both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students. A passion for fostering physical fitness, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles in young people. Proficiency in a range of sports and activities, with coaching qualifications in at least one team sport.
