We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Early Years Nursery Support Worker, on a 3- month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £14.68- £19.57 per hour Hours per week: 27.50 Summary: The Early Years Nursery Support Worker will assist in delivering high-quality, integrated care and education for young children, supporting their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development in a safe and inclusive environment. Working closely with parents, teachers, and nursery education workers, the role focuses on creating stimulating learning experiences, safeguarding childrens welfare, and promoting equal opportunities for all. Responsibilities: Assist in providing high-quality care and education across the nursery, in partnership with parents. Support and safeguard childrens welfare, undertaking child protection training appropriate to the role. Help foster childrens development through play-based and structured activities, including those with special educational needs. Promote positive behaviour and display childrens work to celebrate achievements. Work within the nurserys equal opportunities policies and uphold the Councils Dignity for All Policy. Qualifications: Level 2 qualification in childcare (or equivalent) or experience of working with children, preferably in an educational setting. Essentials: Experience of working with children in a paid or unpaid capacity. Understanding of young childrens needs, including those with special educational needs. Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety requirements in an early years setting.
