About Protocol Educaton\nAt Protocol Education, we specialize in placing skilled professionals into SEND schools. We are currently recruiting Autism Support Assistants to work with children and young people with autism in a range of SEND school settings. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience while making a real difference in the lives of students with autism.\n\nThe Role\nAs an Autism Support Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with autism, helping them engage with the curriculum, manage their behaviour, and build social and emotional skills.

Working alongside teachers and other staff, you will ensure an inclusive, supportive environment, using autism-specific strategies to enhance the learning and well-being of students.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide one-to-one and small group support to students with autism.\nAssist with the implementation of individualized learning plans to meet students' educational, emotional, and social needs.\nSupport students in developing communication, social, and life skills.\nUse autism-specific techniques for behaviour management, encouraging positive behaviour.\nPromote a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.\nCollaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to deliver tailored support strategies.\nMonitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.\nParticipate in training and professional development to enhance your expertise in autism support.\n\nKey Requirements\n\nExperience working with students with autism or in SEND settings is beneficial but not required.\nPassion for supporting children with autism and special educational needs.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.\nPatience, empathy, and proactive problem-solving skills.\nAbility to adapt to different school environments and work flexibly.\nA commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.\nRelevant qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, Autism Awareness training, or similar are desirable.\n\nWhy Choose [Recruitment Agency Name]?\n\nFlexibility: Choose from full-time, part-time, or temporary positions across various SEND schools, giving you the flexibility to suit your schedule.\nVariety: Gain experience in a range of school environments, allowing you to try different teaching methods and student needs.\nProfessional Growth: We offer access to continuous professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in autism support and SEND education.\nSupportive Consultant: A dedicated recruitment consultant will guide you through the process, ensuring you find the right placements and get the support you need throughout your career.\nWork-Life Balance: With flexible working hours and a variety of placements, you'll be able to achieve a balance that suits both your personal and professional life.\nCompetitive Pay: We offer competitive pay rates, reflecting your experience and the important work you do in SEND schools.\nAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
