About the role
1. This position is a permanent position - 39 hours per week
2. The working hours are 4 on 4 off shift pattern - 11.25 hour shifts - 06:45 to 18:00 Mon - Sun
3. £43,916.80 basic salary + 10% Bonus + Benefits
4. Based at Bredbury, Manchester
What will I be doing?
5. You will assist the Plant Manager with the safe and efficient operation of the facility in accordance with relevant legislation/regulations.
6. You will engage both internal and external teams to ensure the efficient use of the processing equipment and associated assets.
7. A requirement of your role will be that you have your own transport available, a travel allowance will be paid to the successful candidate when they travel between any of the above sites. As this is a ‘floating’ role, you will need to have adequate insurance.
What are the requirements?
8. To prioritise time to ensure that all aspects of the operation are supervised
9. To serve as an example and role model in the desire to maximise recycling and improve safety culture and operational efficiencies
10. To ensure that weekly production schedules as defined by the Plant Manager are delivered efficiently and within budget
11. Provide stand by cover for out of hours events
12. To create, manage and control relevant operational documents.
13. Whilst overseeing the day to day operation of the facility your role will include (but not be restricted to) the following elements: o Producing and leading the Daily Review Meeting
14. Dealing with and resolving daily production challenges
15. Contribute to weekly production review meetings to realise continuous improvements and efficiencies
16. Contribute to the reduction of safety and environmental risks
17. Contribute to improve the safety culture on site
18. Act as a positive role model to mentor and develop new and existing team members to ensure they understand the team dynamics.
19. Improve the performance of the team and individuals through development, learning and constructive feedback
20. Lead employees effectively to ensure your team exceeds targets and expectations
21. Making strategic decisions in the absence of other leaders
22. Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning to agreed standards in line with SUEZ Policies and Procedures
23. Carry out Performance Reviews
24. Operate plant machinery both static and mobile
