The role of Music Teacher offers the opportunity to work with amazing autistic children and young people, alongside supportive colleagues. Unqualified and Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply, and a comprehensive induction program is provided.
You will be delivering a high-quality learning programme in an environment that will support young people to grow and develop. You will deliver learning to achieve individual I can statements and develop Learning Journeys in relevant Areas of Learning.

The role of Music Teacher
Due to the recent launch of our, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to support us in implementing and shaping our newly developed curriculum. This teaching role will also involve helping to develop creative cultural inclusion opportunities relating to music.
You will work within our '' school (OFSTED, March 2025) alongside an experienced team, including teachers, therapists, and behaviour support specialists, while collaborating closely with our Care teams.
We are a well-resourced and well-equipped school located in beautiful grounds in Hermitage, West Berkshire. Our vision is to support each young person in achieving health, happiness, independence, and work skills at the appropriate levels.

Qualifications and traits
1. Qualified Teacher Status – or unqualified teaching experience
2. Experience of teaching autistic children/young adults in an education environment OR Experience of working within a special/complex needs education environment
3. Experience of using a range of assessment tools relevant to the needs of autistic individuals with complex needs
4. Effective working within multi-disciplinary teams
5. Familiar with and proficient in assistive technology and specialised software used to support SEN students
