You may assist small groups of children as well with tasks. But generally, provide support to a child 1 to 1 as well as being able to modify challenging behaviour if needed by creating a positive and engaging learning environment. This is a flexible and rewarding role where your contribution makes a real difference every day.What you'll need to succeedTo be able to be a Teaching Assistant, you will need to have a Teaching Assistant Qualification or have relevant transferable experience (care or something similar). To thrive in this role, you’ll need to have a proactive and supportive attitude. You should be confident working with children with different abilities, helping with group tasks and classroom routines. Strongmunication, patience, and the ability to follow the teacher's directions are key. A genuine passion for education and a flexible approach will help you make a positive impact every day.
